Confirmation Instruction (9th-10th Grade)
Confirmation Instruction is a focused time of learning and reflection that prepares youth to make a personal commitment of faith. Through structured teaching, meaningful discussion, and engagement with core doctrine, youth are guided to understand, internalize, and articulate their beliefs. This stage connects faith to the Confirmation vow and encourages a lifelong commitment to following Christ.

Faith commitment: teaching Confirmation with purpose
The resources below equip teachers to guide teens on their faith journey toward their confirmation vow in 10th grade. The Instructional Guide explains how to use the lessons effectively, while the Goals and Learning Objectives highlight three core truths that shape a teen’s understanding of Christian beliefs. Confirmation Day
On Confirmation Sunday, teenagers who have been instructed in the gospel and church doctrine publicly commit to a life of discipleship. In response, the church dispenses God’s blessing on this vow, equipping them with strength and endurance for their faith journey and marking an important spiritual milestone. Confirmations take place in the weeks after Easter and before Pentecost.
